The North Face are having a competition together with Addnature and Petzl. It’s pretty simlpe: Tell them about your idea HERE, and if they like it, you’re getting 25k in cash and 25k in gear to fulfill your dream. Not a bad deal huh?! It’s the biggest mountain sport scholarship in Sweden, and everybody can apply for it.
Some more shots from the trip I had to Lapland last week. Me and Katapulto hooked up with the Frontside Fly guys to catch some big trouts and arctic chars. But, the big mayfly hatches never happened, so we just drank a lot of knert, coffee and people-beer, and had a good time instead!
Been in/around Sorsele for a week now. It’s been a lot of this (waiting):
Good times with Katapulto and the Frontside Fly dudes though! Lots of coffee and knert. Soon – Sthlm and biking.
Just some iPhone pics.
Met Per Jonsson. He’s fast on the bike! But I’m faster with the phone… Ha ha.
So I sat down and just listened to the birds for a while. Early mornings seems to be the time to hit the crowded “woods” of Stockholm… Bike is the same as last year, only one year newer. A Canyon Nerve XC 8.0. Feels perfect for the Stockholm terrain!
But now I’m on a totally different biking mission! Bea and my friend Kluckis just started the 300 km bike race “Vätternrundan”. So me and Johanna are here as support. They’re biking all night, but I’m sure they’re gonna be fine when we meet them tomorrow morning with food and dry clothes. Cheers!
Been on a couple of missions today. Did some computer work this morning, then I went to the Canyon Bicycles headquarters to get some help from the mechanic/magician Gurra. After that I went straight back, and then took the bike to Älgö, where me and Bea had dinner with Sverre and Hanna + sister. Good times!
Went home early this Friday, and drove back to Dalarna. Always good to be in Bynn… Here are some iPhone shots of what went down. Went down? Ha ha. Camping went down, and here are some shots.
I like my own, German Volkswagen even better though, and this is why. It’s a big car, that packs all my stuff, but drinks 0,4 – 0,45. Blue Motion – Hallelujah!
Bea followed me on this fishing trip. She didn’t bring a rod though, she brought a book, and her new Blue Kazoo sleeping bag. She bought it the other day, and said she could follow me anywhere, as long as we would stay in a tent. Fair enough.
I still managed to trick this beauty to eat my fly. Here’s a small video. It was a 50 cm + fish, and the biggest I got in a couple of years I think…
Today Sverre and me played a sweet Volkswagen golf competition at Bro Hof. It’s fancy at hell, so me and Sverre blended in just peeerfect! Ha ha. I haven’t played in four years or do, and… But I did one par! And plenty of triples…
Liliequist dominating the scene.
Came back from Säveån late last night. Really tired, but pretty happy. Had three nice days, but we had a little bad luck with the weather, so there weren’t any big hatches. We all got some nice trouts though, and Acapulco also got a new nick name – from now on he is Katapulto. We also made some new friends. Local hero Ulf Börjesson and his friend Lars-Åke Pålsson gave us some valuable tips about the fishing there, and also donated some flies to us less knowing masar. Thank you!!!
Don’t know if it’s that much more to say… Well! I’m stoked on the new waterproof daypack The North Face made. I’ve had drybags before, but not made as lightweight, comfortable backpacks. Sweet for a rainy day, or when I’m close to water. In other words; I will use it a lot! Also a never ending stoke on my Blue Motion VW Passat, that drinks close to nothing, even when it’s heavy loaded and are in a hurry.
Here are some shots from the last days:
Me, Swimming Kluckis, Diving Acapulco and Finn-Hans is in Säveån on the first trout trip this year. Beautiful place, beautiful fish. Just a couple of iPhone shots:
The North Faceare a new dry-bag backpack. Even dry flies li… Ah, never mind… The pack’s awesome though!
