Norway, Switzerland, Stockholm

Have been doing lots lately. Lots of biking (shootig with Fredrik Schenholm, Mattias Fredriksson, Daniel Rönnbäck, Oskar Enander and Hans Johansson), lots of computer work. No blogging though. Here are some photos, and a film about how my life is now:

Epicness in Norway

Norway is treating us very very good. Been here a couple of days now, and can’t say anything else than… that I’m so stoked about being here. I’m on a trip together with Mattias Fredriksson and his girlfriend Elle. We’re shooting a little bit of this, and a little bit of that, but mostly biking. We’re staying at Tommy and Renate’s place Villa Vengetind. They have 15 beds, local knowledge, are kick ass bikers and chefs and… just happy to stay at their place here. Check out their webpage, and visit them!

Started training a bit more now. Feels good. Some biking, and some outdoor gym. Good for the body, good for the head.

Jocke. And some trees.

Intervals on my own. Heavy…

Met up with Pape at 07 this morning. It was a good morning!

Action times

Had a sweet 15-hour-action-mayhem, with biking-climbing,7hoursleep-biking. It’s all about finding training that ain’t training, but just plain fun.

Compared a Canyon AL 29 with a Canyon Strive in the Stockholm forests. Really interesting. They’re both fast, but in different ways. Fun!

Also went climbing. Something I haven’t done much of at all. But I ordered shoes and a sweet climbing kit from Addnature.com, and now I think I’m in the danger zone of getting hooked!

And this morning I went on another bike run with Victor from Alpingaraget in Sjöstan. Beautiful morning!

Now I’m on my way to the star of the next issue of Alpinkultur. Interview day 1.

New gear

Back in Stockholm now, after a nightmare trip back from France. Had a nice weekend in Dalarna after that though. Check out some iPhone shots of new gear and classic Swedish midsummer:

Got up at 03.25 am Friday. This is at Frankfurt airport, half way through a 16-hour-trip. Can you see the ghost?

Got a small welcome-home-present from Bea. She’s starting to get it! Haha.

Classic Midsummer weather – sun, and Mordor in the background.

This guy always makes you happy though! It’s Malung’s most famous alcoholic. After I took this photo, he said: “You gonna go home and wank off to the photo now?” Hahaha!

Our strawberries missed us…

Went biking, with new POC shades. Perfect for biking, and fishing! They’re polarized, of course.

And new backpack. Litho 18 from The North Face. Perfect for hydration, and some protection.

AND! New shoes from Addnature. Sweden’s best and biggest online store for… Almost everything that has something to do with the outdoors. I really liked these shoes. Thought they were gonna be “less performing” than my old bike shoes. But they’re actually really stiff and good! With SPD. Sweet!

They didn’t help me up this tricky bugger though. Super stoked on my new Canyon 29:er, but not even that took me up. Today maybe!

Straight from biking, to IKEA, to no time for cooking. But rotten cheese, old wine and mom’s even older marmalade ain’t a bad dinner either! Haha.

Started the more serious training before the season now. It’s not fun in the beginning…

Was biking with Calle Friberg the other day. He’s pretty much the fastest mtb dude in Sweden, and… Words are redundant. Not even his magic cookies helped me!

Went biking on my own a couple of days ago. Got lost, as usual. Guess it’s because I never dare to take that path that leads away, the other direction, so I learn some new tracks. Always lost.

Got a new t-shirt from The North Face that made me happy though! Home sweet dome… I like tents…

And! I bought some old Swedish books yesterday. It’s a classic Swedish series of five books. When I got home, I saw that no 3 was from the original edition from 1964, and signed by the author Per Anders Fogelström. Stoked!

Car shoot

Had a car shoot with Daniel Rönnbäck the other day, on the way home from biking. Felt kind of weird. Ha ha. But I think he got some sweet pics! Below is my iPhone shot.

Pretty nice evening…

But first some biking.

And between some fishing. Good times! I like this shot. Water is the best mirror…

Amateur and pro

AMATEUR: One of my sweet sponsors (The North Face) are gonna start with some kind of monthly updates. I’m doing mine like a small edit. Here are some screen-shots. You think they will like it?

PRO: I also saw that Transition.se posted a sweet video from Rhythm. I don’t know what that is, but I liked the video! My good friend Rolf Nylinder from Frontside Fly was skating smooth. I like his style. (Hope it’s ok I have an opinion, even though I don’t know shit about skateboarding). Take a look:

Yesterday I was sent out by Pape to get a gpx-file from the Hammarby Hill course. Hammarby Hill is a bike race he wants me to participate in. But after being guided through the course by a pretty creepy gang (we can call them “The Spandex Sect”), I not so sure about my participation. The fact that all the “mtb” races are more like small/dirt road races also sucks. It felt like 70 % of the course was small roads, and that a no-suspension cross bike, or something like that, would be the fastest option. So we’ll see…

But today I’m going biking with Pape and Calle Friberg. He’s one of the fastest in Sweden (former pro who’s won the Swedish Champs a few times), and I’m trying to prepare myself for the humiliation the afternoon will offer me. He might also be a part of this “Spandex Sect”, but I think he’s alright. Ha ha. But seriously – gonna be super cool to bike with him, and I hope he will teach me a move or two (guess he’s gonna propose the “Train more you lazy fck”-move).

Here are those creepy guys:
