Amateur and pro

AMATEUR: One of my sweet sponsors (The North Face) are gonna start with some kind of monthly updates. I’m doing mine like a small edit. Here are some screen-shots. You think they will like it?

PRO: I also saw that Transition.se posted a sweet video from Rhythm. I don’t know what that is, but I liked the video! My good friend Rolf Nylinder from Frontside Fly was skating smooth. I like his style. (Hope it’s ok I have an opinion, even though I don’t know shit about skateboarding). Take a look:

Yesterday I was sent out by Pape to get a gpx-file from the Hammarby Hill course. Hammarby Hill is a bike race he wants me to participate in. But after being guided through the course by a pretty creepy gang (we can call them “The Spandex Sect”), I not so sure about my participation. The fact that all the “mtb” races are more like small/dirt road races also sucks. It felt like 70 % of the course was small roads, and that a no-suspension cross bike, or something like that, would be the fastest option. So we’ll see…

But today I’m going biking with Pape and Calle Friberg. He’s one of the fastest in Sweden (former pro who’s won the Swedish Champs a few times), and I’m trying to prepare myself for the humiliation the afternoon will offer me. He might also be a part of this “Spandex Sect”, but I think he’s alright. Ha ha. But seriously – gonna be super cool to bike with him, and I hope he will teach me a move or two (guess he’s gonna propose the “Train more you lazy fck”-move).

Here are those creepy guys:

Haven’t seen Eric Pollard shred the park in a long wile. Don’t know what it was about this, but it made me happy! Inspiring.

And here’s the last part of the mtb instructions from Canyon and Kadens. Watch me do an ollie! Ha ha.

AAAND! Some iPhone shots:

Some good news

Some good things you shouldn’t miss:

1. I did a small interview with Transition magazine yesterday. You can read it HERE.

2. The Junkies On a Budget movie In Space is having their Scandinavian premiere at Debaser Medis on the 21:st of September. A friday. That’s less than a month from now! Make sure to book the date. Doors are open from 19-03, and until 22, the entrance is free. Wihoo!

And this is how happy I can get to find a cold beer at home after some crap biking:

That people-beer sure tasted good...

A couple of videos

Part four or the mtb instruction video from Canyon and Kadens. “Stökig terräng” is my specialty in life. Ha ha.

And then I found this video of Stefan Ågren from Frontside Fly, doing his version of the Ephemera Vulgata. He’s fast goddammit!

Last days has been some biking, and some work. I’m finding new routes in Nackareservatet and Sicklaskiftet all the time, so I’m so stoked on biking. My biking partner in crime, Pape, also wants me to starts on a really serious schedule, so that I can start compete, and get as fast as he is. I don’t know… Biking is good for legs and knees and… pretty much everything. So maybe it’s not a bad idea.

Anyway, have to get back to a Whistler story with a deadline that’s closing in really fast. Here are some phone shots:

Back to biking

It’s been a strange summer. Haven’t been fishing that much. Haven’t been biking that much. What have I done?! Working more I guess. But yesterday I was biking with Pape for the first time in a while. Maybe for the first time this summer. So fun! He knows the area here a lot better, and all the good trails. Going for it tonight again. Good to be back on a full suspension bike too. It’s a less fancy bike, but I like my Nerve XC 8.0 a better than the CF-bike I used last week.

Next episode in the MTB school:

Had a good last week. Been in Stockholm since I came back from Riks. Working in front of the computer, and biking. Spent the last three days in Bynn though. So nice to be at the other home. Fishing, enjoying the silence and smelling the woods. Love it… Here are some iPhone shots:

Went biking with Henrik Trygg this Friday. He showed me some fun trails. Here he’s on a fast and flat part on one of them.

Came to our cabin late Friday. It was so quiet… So nice…

Fotriktig (good for your feet). Don’t know about that…

In a weird moment, I promised I was gonna go on a little bike ride with someone yesterday.

But 100 km with Bea Indurain was a pain in the ass, literally… (I had my dad’s 20 years old mountainbike).

In Malung there are a lot of “raggare”. They drive really nice old cars around town. Around. Around…

Went fishing with my very good friend Glödhet. But we started with a beer. Just to get the feeling…

After the beer, the wind almost disappeared. Glödhet getting rigged up.

I chose the right fly. This is a good feeling…

It was no mega trout. But it was the first this year, and a very happy one! He was happy I didn’t kill him I guess. Still love my reel. Dry or Die!

Standard evening in Bynn.

My Passat is big, but Volkswagen’s Blue Motion is pretty amazing! That’s like… no diesel at all.

Yesterday was Eurovision shit. From me and Persson to all of you who watched that.

I feel so fckn old when I wash my car, and like it. Ha ha!

It’s Docking Station season! Biking and fishing trips. Sweet.

Found some old books. These three ones forms a trilogy that is the best I’ve ever read.

Took the first swim of the summer just before leaving Dalarna. Saw this spider web. They say it’s a lot of spiders this summer. Don’t know what that means… Good luck?

Back to Engelberg

Been hanging out with Bea and my new BIKE (stoked on it!) for a few days now. Been good days. Five days in a row with biking. Fun! And tracks was good. Ass is sore now though… Just boarded the plane to Poland (?!), and then fly Bäck to Zurich for three days of shredding in Engelberg. And then – AK!

That’s pure. I like that.

Hansi came by!

Tired dude…

This sucks!

Got myself a new bike today. A Canyon Nerve XC 8.0. Tried it in Nackareservatet. Dry and nice! So fun, but still some big ski trips to be done soon…

Other stuff: AWESOME skiing by Reine and Christine today. World champions! So right!
