Ok so sitting here in Crystal mountain thinking about staying here over Christmas with the girl a new mail popped up in my in-box. The FWT announced two major things. First a new major sponsor for the tour that is going to be presented in the upcoming week.

Also, new stops. Revelstoke and Courmayeur. The Revelstoke event will take place on the 6-11 of January with the MSI/IFSA guys like Kirkwood last year but with fewer riders. So i guess ill just stay put until i realized i dont have all my gear, but luckily i met the US Dynastar guy who lives at the same area as my GF so i dont think its going to be a problem. All we do now is to pray for more snow.

Snow is both good and bad, great base and the whole system is open, the snow is great for skiing but it would be nice with some fresh snowfall for the photos. I’m not complaining, not used to get this much snow on the season premiere. Day two is up ahead with another day of bluebird.

I’m stoked

Finally the temperature has dropped below freezing and the snow cannons is blasting away. Meanwhile the course for the Red Bull Crashed Ice is under construction, its not going of until February but it need to be built before the snow, looking forward to it!

Me and Jackie went on a road trip down to Yosemite national park. Really cool place although a little bit crowded, if you’re ever in California i highly recommend at least a trip into the valley and any of the day trip you can do there, some requires a permit. We went up the Mist trail and then back down on the John Muir trail. Lots of sight per footstep.

Got to see a Bear up close on one of the hikes, it was a cub so we were worried where mom was but it seemed like that cub was alone and might be old enough to be on its own.

Stayed in the park for two nights at a camp site outside the valley and had a great time.

So after the first two event less month of the summer i actually got something to write about. Sitting in a house in Kings beach Lake Tahoe, sunny with temperatures around 28C. I flew in to San Fransisco 3 days ago where Jackie meet me, stayed one day in the city sightseeing, San Fransisco is a very beautiful but foggy city, got some shopping done and  a brand new very adult haircut.

San Fransisco

After that we took the car on the scenic route down to Santa Cruz where we stayed over night, on the way we stopped at the Mavericks surf spot but unfortunately it wasn’t going of. In Santa Cruz we went to the boardwalk amusement park where i couldn’t resist a deep fried Twinkie, Ill tell you, that was to sweet even for me. Santa Cruz seemed to be a very cool place but the temperatures varies more than i expected, Thats the west cost, cooler and varied climate by the sea and extremely hot just a little bit inland.

Now it is time for a round of golf with my new roommates!
